Jubilation As PDP Candidate Wins Plateau Guber Election (Photos)

There were wild jubilations in the streets of Jos as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Caleb Mutfwang, won Saturday’s Plateau governorship election.

Naija News earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Monday, declared Mutfwang as the winner of the governorship election.

The INEC Presiding Officer, Musa Yusuf, declared that Mutfwang had the highest votes beating the All Progressives candidate, Nentawe Yilwatda.

Yusuf disclosed that the PDP candidate polled 525,299 votes, while his APC counterpart scored 481,370 to come second and the LP flagbearer polled 59,410 votes to come a distant third.

He added that the PDP won ten local government areas in the state, while the APC won seven LGAs.

Following the announcement, some PDP supporters were seen singing, dancing, and partying on the street of Jos, the Plateau state capital on Monday afternoon.
