DA VINCI HAND (1.35 Catterick, nap)
Joanne Foster’s chaser has come right down the weights but showed plenty of promise when fifth at this tricky track last time out. He travelled well through much of the race before just running out of petrol in the closing stages. Sean Quinlan let him coast home after that. He drops back three-quarters of a mile here to tackle a distance he’s won over before. He has the all-important course win on this North Yorkshire roller-coaster and can go close at decent odds.
LETTHEDUSTSETTLE (4.10 Catterick, nb)
Isn’t living up to his name, coming back to action just nine days after his blistering course and distance win. He travelled really well over the undulations and had the race wrapped up a long way from home. Trainer Tom Lacey is enjoying a decent run of form and keeps this improving six-year-old to the same modest company. He has a 7lb penalty for that bloodless success but excellent claimer Cameron Iles takes care of that. It was testing ground for that victory so there are no excuses on that score and he can strike again.
BRADMAN (2.47 Lingfield, treble)
He has formed a potent partnership with the consistent Rossa Ryan who has been on board for victories at Southwell and Wolverhampton since the turn of the year. He was value for further than the half-length margin of his Dunstall Park success and the drop in trip holds no fears given how strongly he travels.
MY GIFT TO YOU (1.55 Southwell)
Rarely puts a foot wrong and followed a convincing Fakenham chase success with a hurdles victory here last time out. Title favourite Harry Cobden was on board for that last win and keeps the ride today. James Owen’s six-year-old is creeping up the weights but looks capable of improvement.
