Had more traffic problems than punters stuck in the car park at the Festival — but can get his head in front today. Harry Fry’s six-year-old came from a mile back in the Ultima to finish fifth and had plenty more in the tank four lengths behind the winner. Hopefully Jonathan Burke can get him into a better rhythm in this much smaller field and the handicapper has left his mark alone.

OTTOMAN FLEET (3.00 Newmarket, nb)

Went close in a Meydan Group 1 earlier this year and can repeat last year’s win in the Earl Of Sefton Stakes for Charlie Appleby. This son of Sea The Stars goes on any ground and we know trip and track are right up his street. His HQ form figures read 1211.

ORAZIO (1.50 Newmarket, treble)

William Buick can kick off a profitable day here. He is another defending last year’s win and warmed up with a good third at Doncaster last month. He drops in grade today and looks hard to stop.
