Horse racing tips: Templegate NAP should love step up in trip at a massive 17-2 at Southwell
TEMPLEGATE goes through Thursday’s cards certain of finding a few winners.

ROCKING ENDS (4.05 Southwell, nap)
He showed lots of promise when second from a bad draw at Chelmsford last time. He was returning from a break there and can take a big step forward over this longer trip.
FIERCE (2.03 Southwell, nap)
He ran well in stronger races than this over the summer. He looks on a fair weight and has more to offer.
COUNSEL (7.00 Chelmsford, treble)
He has shown some promise on two starts since leaving the Gosdens for canny Ian Williams. A capable 3lb claimer takes over today and the step up in trip should suit.

ROCKING ENDS can strike up in distance.
He caught the eye with a good comeback second at Chelmsford last time over the minimum trip. He looks weighted to go close.
Repeat winner Pocket The Packet is in the mix again, while Elegant Charm has been going well at Kempton and would be a big threat if repeating that here.
HAVANA BY THE SEA 2
SEA sunk. Up 8lb for winning a Newcastle handicap last month and off the pace at Wolver last time. Needs her very best form to make the frame.
ELEGANT CHARM 4
LUCKY Charm. Well bred and has been in good form at Kempton with a win and second from past two outings. Will need a little more thanks to a 7lb rise but this trip suits and there should be more to come.
DEMOCRACY DILEMMA 1
DI another day. Has struggled to settle on his past two starts, including when sixth at Chelmsford last time. Has come down the weights a little and may be helped by trying this longer trip. Has a bit to find on form.
ROCKING ENDS 5
ROCK star. Scored a couple of times this summer over 5f but came back from a break looking stronger when second from a poor draw at Chelmsford. Can improve on that upped in distance from a handier stall.
GLORIOUS ANGEL 2
ANGEL must fly. Landed a couple of turf wins this summer and has shaped well a couple of times on the all-weather over longer trips than this. Might need a little nudge down the weights.
BEACH BUOY 3
BEACH ready. Good debut win at Kempton before not matching that there last time. Makes handicap debut from a fair mark and this trip suits. Looks capable of better.
POCKET THE PACKET 4
MADE a Packet. Has been in flying form with dual wins at Lingfield and Newcastle. He’s now 30lb higher in the weights since the start of that sequence but keeps delivering so can’t be ruled out.
CARIAD ANGEL 2
CAR needs to motor. Improved over this trip when a close second at Newcastle last time. Fair mark for handicap debut but this is tougher.
