Governor Buni Hands Over Ruling Party, APC Leadership To 75-year-old Chairman, Adamu

The newly elected National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Abdullahi Adamu has finally assumed leadership of the party.
The Chairman Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) Gov. Mai Mala Buni on Wednesday formally handed over after about 21 months at the saddle of the party.


The serving Senator, a staunch supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, is a former Governor of Nasarawa State.
The brief ceremony, which took place at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja, was witnessed by all the newly elected executive members and Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule. 
Adamu, 75, emerged as chairman at the APC convention which was held at the Eagle Square in Abuja last Saturday.
More than 70 others were also confirmed as the new members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
