GOV. OBIANO INSPECTS ABATETE-ALOR-ORAUKWU ROAD BY-PASS

TheExecutive Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Dr.) Willie Obiano (Akpokuodike) today, Thursday, May 7, 2020 inspected the ongoing construction of Abatete-Alor-Oraukwu road by-pass.

Governor Obiano was received by APGA chieftain, Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, Chief Moses Chukwuka, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe (Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency), the President-General of Abatete, and other stakeholders. Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi while appreciating the Governor for his commitment towards the completion of the project, assured him that Abatete people are very much happy and satisfied with this government, stressing that the road is the first internal road in Abatete built by government.

While addressing the people of the community, Gov. Obiano expressed his utmost satisfaction with the speed, level and quality of road project while assuring of his Government’s commitment to getting more road projects to completion across the state.

The Igwe of Abatete, Igwe Emeka Efobi represented by the President General thanked the Governor for his assurances and pledged the support of Abatete people to his government.
It will be recalled that Hon. Ibezi had two years ago drew the attention of government to the deplorable condition of the road adding that it’s construction will decongest the perennial traffic at Eke Agu junction.
This led to the government’s decision to award contract for the construction of the three kilometer road with standard drainages.
