‘God Should Not Fulfil My Desire If I Betray You’ – Terrorist Gide Tells Victim’s Parent

Notorious terrorist, Dodo Gide has requested the sum of N100 million ransom before he would consider releasing the remaining victims abducted from Federal Government College, Yauri in Kebbi State.

Recall that terrorists in June 2021 had invaded the school premises and abducted pupils and teachers in the school.

Some students of the school who were abducted have regained their freedom, while eleven girls are remaining in their kidnapper’s den.

Mr Salim Kaoje, a father to one of the victims, Farida Kaoje while speaking with Premium Times on the incident, said Gide insisted on the ransom.

According to Kaoje, Gide refused to release the remaining victims despite the intervention of his (Gide’s) mother to have him release the girls.

Gide in a recording which was forwarded to the platform was heard telling Kaoje that his mother vowed not to leave the camp until he release the victims.

The terrorist said, “I said she (his mother) should speak to you about it. If you agree with my condition (N100m) just give it to someone you trust I can tell you who you’ll give it to but don’t give it to those ones (he said some of the early negotiators tried to cheat him). If I betray you, may God never fulfil my desires.”

Kaoje in the conversation asked Gide to take an oath that he would fulfil his pledge to release all the girls once he is given the money.

The victim’s father asked Gide if he trust the Emir of Dansadau (in Zamfara State) so he would be appointed to negotiate on behalf of the family.

Gide while stating the reason for insisting on ransom said, the parents of the victims had initially agreed to give him the money but later said the state government was not helping them to get the amount.
