Germany international has £150k watch stolen by street performer’s ‘nasty dance trick’.. but team-mate tracks down crook

GERMANY striker Kevin Volland had his £150,000 watch stolen by a street performer – before his team-mate tracked down the culprit.

Volland, 31, was enjoying a night out in Berlin with team-mate Jerome Roussillon when the incident occurred a fortnight ago.

The duo and two women were out celebrating Union Berlin’s 1-0 win over Hoffenheim.

However, at 3am a 16-year-old approached Volland and followed him before breaking into dance.

According to German outlet Bild, he then took the watch from Volland while the striker was distracted.

Roussillon subsequently ran after the perpetrator and caught him before retrieving the watch.

Volland was sent off during Union Berlin’s win over Hoffenheim after picking up a second yellow card.

However, the visitors went on to win thanks to a crucial goal from Leeds loanee Brenden Aaronson.

Union Berlin currently sit 14th in the Bundesliga table with 25 points from 23 games.

Volland joined the club from Monaco last summer and has since scored three goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances.

The striker has also played for 1860 Munich, Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen.

Volland made his senior Germany debut in 2014 and has since been capped 15 times.
