Former Governors On Tinubu’s Ministerial List Represent His Liabilities – Shehu Sani

A former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Shehu Sani has claimed that the ex-governors nominated for ministerial appointments by President Bola Tinubu represent his liabilities.

Naija News recalls that the ministerial list sent to the Senate for screening and confirmation contains nine former governors, a development that has attracted mixed reactions from Nigerians.

The ex-governors include Nyesom Wike, Nasir El-Rufai, Dave Umahi, and Bello Matawalle, among others.

Speaking via a Twitter post on Monday, Sani opined that the technocrats on the ministerial list represent Tinubu’s assets while the former governors represent his liabilities.

He wrote, “The technocrats in Tinubu’s Government represent his assets, and the former governors in his cabinet represent his liabilities.”

Reports Of Fashola Writing Judgement For Presidential Tribunal Unbelievable

Meanwhile, Sani has reacted to allegations against an erstwhile governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.

Naija News recalls that a Twitter user identified as Jack Ude had alleged that Fashola and some lawyers of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were writing a judgement the ruling party intends to hand over to the judges.

However, in a statement on Sunday, Fashola’s special adviser on media, Hakeem Bello said the allegation is “baseless and defamatory”.

He described those behind the allegations as “agents of destabilisation”.

Reacting to the allegation against the former governor, Sani insisted that despite the mysteries that happen in Nigeria, the story was hard to believe.

Speaking via Twitter, he wrote, “Though we live in a country of mysteries, magic, miracles and myths, it’s hard to believe that the respective Justices of the Presidential election tribunal will stoop to sacrifice their honour for someone to write the Tribunal judgment for them to read like newscasters. The story is either speculative or preemptive fiction.”
