It was his first of the two goals that has gained the most attention online with fans split on if the 25-year-old actually meant to score.

Mbappe was darting into the penalty area when a pass was fired into the six yard box from the left wing.

The tricky attacker seemed to instinctively throw his heel towards the ball and ended up catching it perfectly.

The ball bounced off of his trailing foot and trickled past Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo to put PSG 2-0 up.

The goal looked at first glance like a moment of pure brilliance, but some fans on social media think Mbappe didn’t intend to score when taking a second look at the slow motion replays.

One wrote: “Definitely a mistake.”

While another added: “Not in a million years did he mean that!”

Others were convinced that Mbappe’s goal was intentional and proof of why he is considered as one of the best in the world.

He certainly has a knack for goal with the former Monaco man now netting 43 goals in all competitions this term.

And he is leading his PSG team to the league title in the process with the Parisians now 11 points clear of Mbappe’s former team Monaco in second place.
