Europa League, ECL Quarter-Finals Draw: Man United To Face Six-time Winners
The European football governing body, UEFA has released the draws for the Europa League and the Europa Conference league quarter-finals today, March 17.
Interestingly, one of the most elite clubs still left in the Europa League, Manchester United, have been paired to face the most successful club in the competition, Sevilla.
Sevilla, who have won six of the competition’s titles since 2006, overcame Manchester United in the semi-finals on their way to taking home the trophy in 2020.
Any of the two clubs that scale through to the semi-finals, will face either Juventus or Sporting Lisbon, the team that knocked out Arsenal in the round of 16.
Jose Mourinho’s Roma has been paired to take on Feyenoord in the Europa League quarter-finals. While one of the biggest teams in the competition, Juventus will face Sporting.
The first legs of the Europa League quarter-finals will take place on April 13, the second legs will take place on April 20.
While the first legs of the semi-finals will take place on May 11, and the second legs will take place on May 18.
