One perplexed fan asked: “Why did Erling Haaland do a Homer Simpson down the microphone?”

Pep Guardiola‘s troops ran out 2-0 winners at the City Ground thanks to goals from Josko Gvardiol and Haaland.

The win saw them keep pace with current table toppers Arsenal, who were victorious in the North London derby just a few hours earlier.

Guardiola said of Arsenal: “We prefer they lose, we cannot control what they do.

“There are four games left, I don’t think they are going to lose any points, so we know exactly what we have to do.”

City will be back in action on Saturday, welcoming Wolves to the Etihad.
