Desmond Elliot Sends Message To Labour Party Candidate After Surviving ‘Obidients’ Tsunami
Nollywood actor, cum politician, Desmond Elliot, has expressed appreciation to Surulere 1 constituency, for victory at the Lagos State House of Assembly election.
Naija News reports that prior to the election, the campaign period was a difficult time for the lawmaker as Labour Party supporters popularly called ‘Obidients’ vowed to unseat him.
The LP supporters reference Desmond’s role during the #EndSars and the call to regulate the social media space.
Surprisingly, the thespian emerged victorious at the poll on Saturday.
In a post via Instagram on Sunday, Desmond Elliot commended other candidates for their youthful zeal during the campaign.
The lawmaker noted that he is willing to work with them and share ideas on how to make the Surulere constituency a better place.
He wrote: “Thank you Surulere, I commend the worthy effort givenby other candidates in orher parties:
Hon Thompson (PDP) Mr Olumide Oworu (LP) Mr Bode Adedayo (LP).
“I’m glad for the youthful zest you put into the campaign. Please I am more than willing to work with you and share ideas on how to make our dear constituency a better place.
