Fans could be seen trying to get to the Danish defender as he tried to speak after the match.

He was joined by several other Palace players and staff as they tried to appease fan complaints.

Footage shows assistant coach Paddy McCarthy having to pull Andersen away from the confrontation.

The angry supporters were said to be “tapping their chests” to suggest that players were lacking passion during the match.

One fan posted: “Looked like he [Paddy McCarthy] had to pull Joachim Andersen away.”

Another commented: “That’s poor by Joachim Andersen.”

While another wrote: “Joachim Andersen is not the dude I’d mess with personally.”

The incident happened after Palace were heavily beaten by rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.

Lewis Dunk opened the scoring inside three minutes before Jack Hinshlewood and Facundo Buonanotte made it 3-0 before halt time.

Palace then suffered a massive blow as Michael Olise was forced off just 11 minutes into the second half.

Jean-Philippe Mateta got one back for the visitors before Joao Pedro completed the romp in the 84th minute.

It could have been even worse for Palace as Hinshelwood almost bagged a brace in the closing stages via a deflection.

During the match, Palace fans also demonstrated their disapproval of the way the club is currently being run.

A flag was displayed in the away end that read “No shared vision, no structured plan, Parish out, Yanks out.”

It is the second time Andersen has confronted Palace fans this season as he also told them to “f*** off” after the 5-0 defeat to Arsenal.
