He will be involved in the club’s B team as he is on a development contract.

Speaking on the deal, co-chairman Preston Johnson said: “Jed is a young player who has acquitted himself well during previous training sessions with the team, and we’re happy to have him continue his development as a member of our B team.

“While he may not currently be part of our first-team plans, we welcome Jed to the club and look forward to his continued growth as he trains alongside his new teammates.”

Brown started his trial with the club in November 2022 alongside his brothers.

Tobi and Manny are part of the YouTube collaboration Sideman, and have almost nine million subscribers between them on their individual channels.

However, some Crawley supporters are not impressed with the announcement.

One tweeted: “Just not the right time.”

A second commented: “Absolute joke. Just when I think things can’t get more ridiculous, you lot have a way of topping it. #wagmiout.”

A third wrote: “What are these owners doing .”

A fourth said: “Makes a mockery of professional football. Embarrassing .”

A fifth added: “Hahaha. More PR stunts than wins. Wagmi out.”

Crawley are currently battling against the drop from League Tow as they are one point above Gillingham in 23rd.
