Buhari Presides Over First FEC Meeting After Governorship Elections [Photos]

President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Naija News reports that the meeting, which is taking place at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, began after the arrival of the President at 10:01 am.

The meeting is being attended by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, and the National Security Adviser, Maj-Gen. Babagana Monguno (retd.).

The ministers in attendance at the meeting included Health, Osagie Ehanire; Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Farouk; Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite; Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.

Other ministers in attendance are Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Power, Abubakar Aliyu; Police Affairs, Mohammed Dingyadi; Justice, Abubakar Malami; Transportation, Mu’azu Sambo; and Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi.

Others were Ministers of Women Affairs, Paulen Tallen; Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social development; minister of state for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo; Minister of Power, Abubakar Aliyu; Aviation, Hadi Sirika as well as Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi.

With nine weeks to the end of the regime, Wednesday’s meeting will feature memoranda from key ministries handling projects that are expected to be completed before May 29.

Also part of the discussions could be the progress of the Presidential Transition Committee headed by the SGF, Boss Mustapha.
