BREAKING: Chimaroke Nnamani’s Political Group Dissolves Into APC

Days after the outcome of the 2023 National Assembly election, the Ebeano political structure founded by the former governor of Enugu State, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani has dissolved into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Nnamani formed the group while he was in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Naija News understands.

Recall that Nnamani lost his bid to be elected the lawmaker for the Enugu East Senatorial District. He was defeated by the candidate of the Labour Party, Kelvin Chukwu.

Chukwu had polled 69,136 to beat Chimaroke, who scored 48,701 votes. Recall that Kelvin replaced his elder brother, Oyibo Chukwu, who was murdered a few days before the February 25th, 2023, presidential and national assembly elections.

On Tuesday, the Chairman of Ebeano, Chief Emmanuel Okwor, told reporters that the group has now joined APC. Naija News reports that the announcement is coming days after Nnamani announced his decision to dump PDP.

The former Enugu governor had been groaning over losing the Enugu East senatorial district seat to Kelvin Chukwu of the Labour Party, LP.

”The alliance with APC is to consolidate the partnership with President-Elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu to achieve good governance in the country,” Okwor said.

He added that members of the ‘Ebeano’ political family across the country had been consulted and in agreement with the alliance in the people’s interest.
