‘Bravest fan in the world’ spotted in the Tottenham end with an ARSENAL shirt after turning up with wrong ticket

AN ARSENAL supporter was dubbed “the bravest fan in the world” after wearing a Gunners shirt in the Tottenham end.

An own-goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg kicked off a first-half blitz for the Gunners, with Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz putting Arsenal 3-0 up at the break.

Spurs fought back with strikes from Cristiano Romero and Son Heung-Min after an inspired Richarlison cameo.

But they were unable to complete a stunning comeback as Arsenal maintained their spot at the top of the Premier League table.

The Gunners have just three games remaining and are one point clear of Man City, who have a game in hand.

And one jubilant Arsenal fan made sure he joined in the post-match celebrations despite being seated with Tottenham supporters.

The cheeky chap had jetted to the UK from Australia for the once-in-a-lifetime match.

However, he accidentally purchased tickets for the home end in the section above Arsenal’s away fans.

The Aussie blended in with the crowd as he wore a half-and-half scarf while covering his red jersey in a white jacket.

But at full-time, he was unable to contain his excitement.

As Spurs fans flocked to the exits and Arsenal supporters cheered the result, the man from Down Under appeared on the concourse before zipping down his jacket.

Seeing the famous red jersey underneath, jubilant Gunners fans burst into song as they chanted: “We are the Arsenal, we’ll sit where we want.”

Speaking afterwards, the grinning Aussie fan admitted he revelled in the occasion.

He said: “I just got off a plane last night from Sydney, Australia. I came straight to Tottenham’s stadium.

“I bought my ticket in Sydney. I didn’t realise I was in the Tottenham section.

“Obviously we win 3-2. I go up to the barrier and I see all the Arsenal fans and I couldn’t help myself. I honestly couldn’t help myself.”
