BOUNDLESS FORFEIT – BEYOND LIMIT

Years back, I boarded a car on my way to a minister conference; I was on a gorgeous outfit. When we got to our last bus stop; everyone came down, finding their way on a rush to the venue of the program, because it was already raining! While coming down from the vehicle, I discovered an old woman dragging her heavy loads from the luggage point of the car; and I wondered how she was going to convey the loads in her head under the rain to the venue of the program, because there was no motorcycle in the bus stop for the heavy downpour, as she also was a participant in the program. I reasoned within my heart as I gazed at the woman; if this woman was to be my biological mother, would I leave her behind like this? Then, I decided to render help to her, even though I never knew her, and moreover, she traveled from another state to Abuja – Nigeria for the Program. On my gorgeous outfit, I carried her heavy load on my head, and asked the woman to follow me as I take it to the program venue for her. On our way going, she started blessing me deeply from her heart!

Boundless forfeit is the art of dealing in a good way with people beyond limit. When you don`t select people you render help to, that is an art of sacrifice. Look at what the Bible has to say concerning this:

In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denari and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ Luke 10:30-35

Generosity is living beyond yourself, family, relative and anyone you know. It is a big sacrifice to be a blessing to strangers you ever come across. From our preceding scripture, the man who got injured by some drifters needed help to stay alive; but it was so surprised that the people he had expected to render help to him ignored him to die! In our Bible contexts, a priest signifies: a Pastor, Apostle, Evangelist, Prophet, and Teacher of the gospel. They all disregarded the dying man, and went about their ministry works. A Levite signifies a man from a believer`s or Christian background, also from a priesthood background; yet this person overlooked the dying man! A Samaritan signifies a person every believer concluded to be a sinner or worse iniquitous person; yet he forsook his position and helped the man he never knew!

The greatest sacrifice you can give to God is to break the barriers of tribalism in a generosity lifestyle. Break the barriers of religious denominational in helping people. Generosity brings generous blessings in your direction. Looking beyond your territory makes you to terrorize your generation for good. When you are generous, you have to help strangers to be strong, and when you help strangers to be strong; you have indirectly helped angels to fast facilitate your destiny fulfillment. Abraham helped strangers, and he didn`t know that they were angels; and those angels gave Abraham and Sarah what they didn`t have, which they had been looking for. (Genesis 18:1-15)

If you need a strange blessing, don`t you ever take a stranger for granted! Some strangers are not human beings; they are angels. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”(Hebrews 13:2) The strangers you help today, could be your children`s helpers tomorrow. Just be generous; don`t select people you respect. Do not select people to honour. Don`t select people you render assistance to, when you are privileged to do that. Give people hope where they have no hope; give them help where they have no help. Wipe out tears, and you will never see tears of sorrow. Remember that everyone you are privileged to meet in life is your neighbour; whether you reside in Nigeria or any part of Africa, and beyond Africa; your neighbours are those that surround you. The people you meet every day in your duty post and in the cause of your journey in life are worthy of your help.

Beloved, if you would have no reason to regret in life, you have to have every reason to making others happy. If you need unlimited blessings, then break the limit of your generosity in life.
