Leicester vs West Ham betting preview

It’s all set up to be a dramatic final day at the bottom of the Premier League table, with hosts Leicester right amongst it.

The Foxes sit two points behind Everton heading into Sunday’s games and know only a win will do.

They will then be relying on Bournemouth to get a result away at Goodison.

Dean Smith’s men have a six-goal better goal difference which could well work in their favour, should the Toffees draw and Leicester win.

It could have been in their hands had they snatched a late win at Newcastle on Monday.

They barely had a kick in the Toon half having dropped Harvey Barnes and James Maddison, until right at the end when Timothy Castagne’s volley was parried away by Nick Pope in the 91st minute – with their first shot at goal.

A point was all they took, leaving it outwith their hands this weekend.

Luckily for them, they come up against a West Ham side that is already safe and with a huge game on the horizon.

The Hammers head for the Europa Conference League which is 10 days after the final game, leaving David Moyes with a selection dilemma.

Leicester are 1/6 to go down but there’s no doubt we’re in for drama come Sunday afternoon.

For and against

They managed a 0-0 at Newcastle by playing 10-men behind the ball and a flat back five.

But Leicester need a result here and should bring Barnes and Maddison back in and go hell for leather from the off.

The Hammers have shown their counter attacking prowess and have scored on their last five visits here.

We reckon they’ll do so here but with a draw out the question for the hosts, there will be a winner.

Our tip: Both teams to score no draw at 7/5 with William Hill

Nacho cheesing

Kelechi Iheanacho made a timely return from injury when lining up against Newcastle earlier this week.

He was replaced at half time by James Maddison but there’s no reason why both can’t play here.

Iheanacho scored in two of the three games before picking up his injury and can make his mark here.

The 2/1 for anytime is a decent enough price but we want more!

Our tip: Kelechi Iheanacho to score first at 5/1 with William Hill

Faes him in

Wout Faes has had a difficult first few months in at Leicester but will find himself in the team.

He’s averaged 1.9 tackles per game in his time at the King Power and will need his tenacious attitude on full show here again.

He can boost that average but doesn’t need to go well above what he’s been doing to land this one.

Our tip: Wout Faes over 2 tackles at 11/10 with William Hill
