Apostle Suleman Alleges Police Killed One Of The Assailants

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has alleged that the Police killed one of the unknown gunmen who attacked him in Auchi, Edo State.

Naija News earlier reported that the clergyman was returning from a trip on Friday evening when the gunmen opened fire on his convoy killing seven persons including three policemen.

In a new video shared on his Twitter page, the clergyman said the gunmen who attacked his convoy weren’t kidnappers.

According to him, one of the assailants was handed over to the police but he was killed immediately.

Apostle Suleman questioned why the man was killed on spot and who is trying to cover up traces.

He wrote: “Lies…there weren’t kidnappers…

“He was caught and handed over and the police killed him immediately…why?..why killing him on the spot?.who is trying to cover up traces?”

How Apostle Suleman Escaped Gun Attack

Meanwhile, a witness has narrated how Apostle Suleman escaped an attack on his convoy on Friday.

According to the source, the gunmen who had been trailing Apostle Suleman from Benin City, opened fire around river Ole.

The source who spoke with Daily Trust said Apostle Suleman refused to travel through the Benin-Auchi road because of the bad situation of the road.

The source noted that the gunmen open fire on the two vehicles behind Apostle Suleman’s ride thinking he was inside one of the back vehicles.

The source said, “He was returning from Benin to Auchi after a programme, he took Ifor road in Ondo State due to the bad condition of the Benin-Auchi road. The gunmen who had been trailing him opened fire on his convoy when they got to river Ole; Apostle Suleman drove the ‘front vehicle himself while two vehicles followed behind; they slowed when they got to a place that had a speed breaker.”
