Anambra State Police Command To Set Up Temporary Operational Bases For Police Offices Affected During The #EndSARS Violent Protests

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Mr John Abang has said that temporary operational bases would be set up in different Area Commands of police offices affected by the #EndSARS violent protests.

Mr Abang was speaking during a visit to the different police offices destroyed during the national protests.

According to the Police Commissioner, the Inspector General of Police, Mr Muhammed Abubakar, had directed all officers and men in the affected posts to go back to work given the security importance of their duties.

Mr Abang who lauded the officers and men for their bravery and professionalism in the face of the carnage, urged them to continue serving the public despite the tragedies.

He expressed sadness at the ugly turn of the agitation and asked members of the force in the state to see their job as a sacrifice for greater good.

At the Divisional Police Headquarters, B Division, Awka, where the Police Commissioner rounded off the visits, he urged the officers and men to boost their security duties around the state’s capital through regular patrols and intelligence gathering.
