‘Amaju Pinnick Should Also Leave’ – Reactions As NFF Sacks Super Eagles’ Technical Crew

Several reactions have trailed the sack of the entire technical crew of the Super Eagles by the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF).

Naija News reports that this followed Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup after a 1-1 draw with Ghana on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola National Stadium Abuja.

With the visitors going through on away-goal rule, Nigeria’s dream of becoming the first African country to qualify for four consecutive World Cups was dashed.

Earlier, this news medium reports that the NFF Secretary-General, Dr Mohammed Sanusi said the technical crew of the Super Eagles had been sacked from their roles with immediate effect.

He added that the federation had withdrawn the two-and-half years’ contract offered to the coaches before the first leg of the World Cup play-off against Ghana in Kumasi.

Sanusi disclosed that a new technical crew will be announced soon after a proper review of the current situation.

He said the federation, however, thanked the coaches and team officials for their service to the nation and wish them success in their future endeavours.

However, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to ask the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick to immediately tender his resignation following the sack of the Super Eagles technical crew.
