After Wike Threatened To Expose Everything To Nigerians, Atiku Group Says No Crisis In PDP

One of the support groups of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar known as the Atiku Support Organization (ASO) has claimed there is no crisis within the PDP.

The group through its Deputy National Director, Eric Ekwere claims what is happening in the PDP is just a normal, little disagreement that has been blown out of proportion by social media.

The position of the Atiku support organization comes a few days after the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike promised to tell Nigerians the truth about what transpired in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the party’s 2023 presidential candidate.

However, the group said what is happening to Wike is normal as every human being is expected to feel bad after losing an election just as Wike lost the PDP presidential ticket.

It however denied any crisis in the PDP based on what transpired during the presidential primaries and the subsequent emergence of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa as the running mate to Atiku.

Ekwere claimed that social media users who are not familiar with what is going on in the PDP are the ones blowing everything out of proportion to make it seem like the PDP is in a crisis.

According to him, the crisis only exists on social media and the PDP is focused on winning the 2023 elections.

He said in a chat with Daily Post, “Our party is not in crisis. Wike contested an election, and he lost the primary. And it’s natural that once you lose such an election, you will feel somehow. You will naturally not be happy. It doesn’t mean that the party is in crisis.

“It’s just a little disagreement, and then what we are hearing is just a social media blast. We all know how social media works. You are not there.

“Everybody is working on hearsay. So what we are seeing is social media rumour, nothing more. We are hearing that Wike has a faction different from Atiku’s faction. Who told them that?

“Osun State outing alone is enough to tell Nigerians that PDP is together, and we are confident of winning the 2023 election. This is why I totally disagree with the Obedient team. It’s likely to end like the EndSARS campaign”.
