AFCON: Egypt Has Salah, We Have Chukwueze Too – Says Ahmed Musa As He Rejoins Super Eagles

Nigerian professional footballer, Ahmed Musa, has joined his colleagues in Cameroon ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON tournament kick-off.

Naija News reports that the Super Eagles star missed the last training session with his home team on Wednesday, December 5, after receiving the sad news of losing a family member.

Musa was sympathized with and the Fatih Karagumruk striker was granted permission to leave the team’s camp to be with family members.

Reports obtained by Naija News at the moment claimed that Musa is now with the Nigerian team in Cameroon.

Speaking ahead of their clash with Egypt, Musa said he understands most people would be talking about Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.

The Nigerian, however, believes Super Eagles star who plays for the Spanish side, Villarreal – Samuel Chukwueze is dangerous enough to be talked about.

According to Musa, the Pharaohs should also be worried about ‘dangerous’ Chukwueze.

The Nigerian captain maintained that the Super Eagles are more experienced now than the last edition of the competition hosted by Egypt.

Musa said on Tuesday: “Experience is going to help us a lot. In Egypt, we had only two players that had been in the AFCON, me and Kenneth Omeruo, and then we finished in the third position,”

“Definitely, I know everybody will be talking about Salah but if you look at our own side we have a lot of players they would be worried about.

“They have to think about our own players. They only talk about Salah but we have Chukwueze, a lot of players from the wings that are more dangerous, so their own defenders too will be thinking about us.
