Adamu Speaks On Number Of States APC Will Win After Peter Obi’s Wave

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu has spoken on the number of states the party will win in the 2023 governorship election.

Recall that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 25 presidential election, Peter Obi, won in some states governed by the ruling APC.

The development has stirred tension in the APC states ahead of the governorship and house of assembly elections.

In an interview with Daily Trust, Adamu expressed hope that the ruling party will win more than the twenty-one states it currently ruling.

He, however, stated that the party may lose one or two states during the forthcoming governorship election.

Adamu said, “That will be too prophetic. As we go to the election, we have 21 states that are governed by the APC. I hope that we will get more. Though, in the course of that, we may lose one or two. And depending on how many we get in and how many we lose out, in the end, we will still be in the majority by God’s grace.

“My personal experience is: anytime God gives me leadership, I lead my party to victory, and this election is no exception.”
