Adamawa Guber: Any Plot To Scuttle Binani’s Victory Will Fail – Fani-Kayode

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said any plot to rig out the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Aishatu Ahmed Binani, will fail.

Naija News reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Monday, suspended the collation of results of the governorship election in Adamawa State.

Speaking to reporters at the collation center, the state Collation Officer, Profesor Muhammed Mele, said the election was inconclusive because the margin of win between the leading two parties was lower than the number of collected PVCs in places where the election did not hold.

However, before the suspension of the exercise, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  and the incumbent governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, polled 421,524 while the APC’s Binani scored 390,275 votes.

Taking to his Twitter account on Monday to react to the development, Fani-Kayode said the scurrilous attempt to scuttle Binani’s victory in Adamawa state will fail.

He wrote: “The scurrilous attempt to scuttle Binani’s victory in Adamawa state shall not stand.”

Gov’ship Polls: APC Reacts To Suspension Of Results In Adamawa

The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has reacted to the suspension of the results of the governorship election in Adamawa State.

In its reaction to the suspension of the results by the electoral body, the APC has alleged that it was all a calculated effort of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to disrupt the final collation.

The APC made the allegation in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in Abuja on Monday.
