Actor Ugezu Reacts To Peter Obi’s Defection, Reveals When PDP ‘Lost It’

Nollywood actor, Ugezu Jideofor Ugezu has reacted to the defection of a 2023 presidential aspirant, Peter Obi from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Recall Mr. Obi on Wednesday caused a stir in the political environment when he announced he has dumped the PDP ahead of the party’s presidential primary election.

The former Anambra State Governor was said to have tendered his resignation letter at the PDP National Secretariat, through his campaign director, Doyin Okupe.

According to reports, Obi’s exit came as the politician expressed fears he might be humiliated at the convention in Abuja.

But reacting to the development, the actor cum director, applauded the former governor for refusing to participate in money sharing politics.

He added that the PDP lost it when they mandated the aspirants to provide funds for the delegates.

In his own words; ‘‘PDP lost it when they mandated the aspirants to provide funds for delegates. It became clear they are not even the party Nigeria needs now.

”PDP, by that move, showed they are still the same PDP… (People Destroying People) with the same SHARE THE MONEY attitude since 1999.

”Congratulations Mr. Peter Obi, by refusing to participate in the Planned Bazaar called Primaries, he has further pinned himself into the hearts of millions of Progressive Nigerians.

”If we are ever going to salvage this country, we must destroy the politics of SHARE THE MONEY.”
