The victory sees O’Sullivan advance to the quarter-finals as he looks for a record-breaking eighth world title.
Hendry and Davis were asked to score Ronnie’s performance out of ten, which led to a disagreement between the two.
Hendry said: “I’ll mark him against what he’s capable of – fiveish, 5.5.”
That led Davis to interject and say: “I’d go 10 because it doesn’t matter – it’s just about the win.”
Hinting at some tension between the two, Hendry then said: “That wasn’t what the question was, you’ve ducked another question.”
That led to Davis saying: “No, no I’ve taken it in a different light.”
When asked about why he scored Ronnie with a 5.5, Hendry explained: “What I will say is that in the two frames against Ryan, you couldn’t play better snooker than that.
“That was what he was capable of, but then he went below it. So I’m giving him 5.5, 6.”

Davis held firm in his rating, however, saying: “I’m going 10 because all he has to do is win.
“What else do you need? He’s still in the tournament, that’s a 10.”
O’Sullivan is currently tied with Hendry for most titles at the Crucible – with both having seven.
He’s found his way to the quarter-finals after thrashing Jackson Page 10-1 in the opening round.
His 13-7 victory today has kept his dream of an eighth title alive for now.
O’Sullivan will play Jack Lisowski or Stuart Bingham in the quarters.
