2023: Shehu Sani Speaks On The Kind Of Running Mate Atiku Needs

Former lawmaker Shehu Sani has spoken on the kind of running mate Atiku Abubakar should choose ahead of the 2023 elections.

Sani advised the presidential candidate to pick a running mate that could work hand-in-hand with him to achieve the goal of the party.

He stated this via a tweet on Monday.

He wrote: “The opposition primaries is done. All aspirants, party members and Nigerians who want…(I wanted to write Change but I changed my mind) a new united, peaceful & prosperous Nigeria should rally round the Candidate Atiku Abubakar. And for AA, Choose a VP you can work with as a team.”

Recall that Atiku had polled a total of 371 votes to defeat his close contender Nyesom Wike who garnered 237 votes.

Meanwhile, Atiku has revealed his plans for the country if elected as the next President.

In a chat with reporters on Sunday, Atiku’s Spokesman, Paul Ibe, said his principal would unite the country amidst the ethnic tension evident across major regions.

Ibe added that the former vice president would promote inclusiveness, enthrone a regime of security and restore peace and prosperity if elected as the next President in 2023.

He, however, called on leaders across various regions and parties to join hands with Atiku in uniting the country.  Read more
