2023 Presidency: Tinubu To Meet APC Governors In Abuja

Presidential hopeful and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will meet with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday.

In a statement released on Monday by Tinubu’s spokesman, Tunde Rahman, the APC leader would meet with the governors at 10am.

It added that the meeting will take place at the Kebbi house on Plot 70, Kur Mohammed Way, Off Ahmadu Bello Way, Central Business District, Abuja.

Naija News understands that this development follows vice president Yemi Osinbajo’s decision to join the 2023 presidential race.

He had on Sunday hosted governors elected on the platform of the ruling APC at his residence in the Aso Rock Villa.

The meeting scheduled to kick off by 7.00 pm already had some of the Governors including Mallam Nasir El-Rufa’i of Kaduna and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun within the Vice President’s premises as early as 6.45 pm.

It was during this meeting that he officially notified the Governors of his intention to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
