Recall that Tinubu had visited Matawalle over the recent killing of some residents by bandits, donated N50m to victims.

During the visit, BAT claimed that President Buhari can defeat Boko Haram, bandits, and other criminal elements.

My amiable APC national leader and incoming president (Insha Allah) visits Zamfara State Governor, Dr Bello Muhammad Matawalle, to sympathise with them over the senseless bloodletting occasioned by the nefarious activities of bandits,” MC Oluomo wrote on his Facebook page.

This is another call to our brothers and sisters in the South-West to support our father, son and friend, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for the 2023 presidential election. A man with God is a majority,” he added.

Meanwhile, former military head of state, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (rtd), popularly called IBB has revealed who his ideal candidate for the 2023 presidential election would be.

IBB who didn’t mention any particular name, however, stated that there are some specific attributes such a person must have.

According to the former president during a recent interview with Trust TV, the person who should take over from President Muhammadu Buhari should among other things, be a young person, who is conversant with happenings in the country and has good communication skills.

He said the next president must be able to address Nigerians on issues bothering them and must have distinguished himself/herself in a particular field with traceable track records.

It is not who do I have in mind but who fits in; any person who fits in within these criteria, then he is the right person as long as he is a Nigerian; he is a politician, he is not old like I am; he is very conversant with the country, he communicates, he is a very good communicator,” IBB replied when asked about the particular person who should become the next president of Nigeria in 2023.
