2023: Peter Obi Reveals Why He Attended Atiku’s Presidential Declaration
The vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 general election, Peter Obi has revealed why he attended the event where Atiku Abubakar declared his presidential ambition.
Recall that the former Vice President on Wednesday formally declared to run for the highest political office in the country.
Obi who has intentions of contesting in the 2023 general election on Wednesday disclosed that he attended the event because he was invited.
The former Anambra State Governor while addressing newsmen after the event said he has a cordial relationship with Atiku.
According to Obi, he would continue to attend Atiku’s event if invited despite his political ambitions.
He said, “The reason why I am here is that this is new politics. As you know, I play politics differently, for me, politics is not a war.
“Atiku is my boss, my leader and an elder brother. If he invites me for anything, I will attend. Aspiring does not mean I should not keep my relationship that is cordial.
“Atiku is a unifier and anytime he invites me for anything, I will be there”.
