2023: Former Presidential Aide Talks About The ‘Best’ Candidate To Lead Nigeria

The former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media, Bashir Ahmad, has revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is the candidate he will be voting for.

Taking to his Twitter account on Sunday afternoon, Bashir shared a photo of the presidential candidate as the man he will be voting for in 2023.

Recall that the APC national leader defeated Osinbajo, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, and 11 other aspirants to clinch the party’s sole presidential ticket.

In the tweet, the former presidential media aide reaffirmed his solidarity, whilst declaring his support for Bola Tinubu.

He wrote; ‘We are voting him as our next President’

Meanwhile, Tinubu has reportedly rejected the chance to pick either Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State or Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State as his running mate.

Tinubu, a former Lagos State Governor, has reportedly zeroed his search on Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State or his predecessor, Senator Kashim Shettima.

It was gathered that Tinubu would return from France and announce his running mate before the July 15 deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The APC presidential candidate, who had limited his search to Borno, Kano, and Kaduna states, with all the prospective running mates being Muslims, dropped Nasir El-Rufai despite the active role in Tinubu’s emergence.
