2023 ELECTIONS NDYC CALLS FOR SOUTH SOUTH PRESIDENT

2023 ELECTIONS NDYC CALLS FOR SOUTH SOUTH PRESIDENT

A nongovernmental youth body, Niger Delta Youth Coalition NDYC has called  for a South  South President in the 2023 Presidential election in the Country.

National Co-ordinator of the NDYC, Prince Emmanuel  Ogba in a statement  made available to newsmen, argued that the people  of the South –South are yet to complete their eight years tenure as former President Goodluck Jonathan served for only four years.

The NDYC opined that the people of the South –South who have over the years been engulfed in that environment degradation of their area due to pollution of the area as a result of the long exploration and production by oil companies deserve to be given another chance for the Presidential, deserve to be given another chance for the Presidential thicket next year.

The youth body noted that the office of the President requires a man that is energies experienced and God fearing person that can serve as a symbol of unity, peace and progress.

The group argues that if the South South  rules  for four years  in 2023, the North  can then take over to rule for another eight  years before it returns to the South.

They therefore appealed to the people of the South-West and South – East  to give their support to a capable person from the South –South to be given the ticket for the Presidential  ticket by any of the Political parties  for next year Presidential election.
