2023: 99% Of Our Votes Is For Peter Obi – Group Vows

A political group identified as the Southeast for President 2023 Movement has promised to give ninety-nine percent of votes from the southeast to the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The National Coordinator of the group, Rev. Okechukwu Obioha made the declaration on Sunday in Enugu at the Obi-Datti support groups conference.

He said in the 2015 and 2019 elections, some political parties got between 5 and 20 percent of their votes from the southeast but this time around, his group will ensure they don’t have access to that.

Obioha added that they have started their mobilization work for Obi, including those at the grassroots with the confidence of attaining the projected figures.

“We were looking for an alternative and with the movement that is going on in the country as well as our grassroots movement, Obi is sure of 99 percent votes from the Southeast.

“The group has been sensitising the electorate on the logo to vote,’’ he said.

He however said Obi won’t be the President of the southeast alone but of the entire Nigeria.

7 Anambra Monarchs Dump Peter Obi To Back Atiku

A group of monarchs in Anambra State has reportedly declared their interest in supporting the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Naija News reports that Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was a two-term Governor in Anambra State.

The said traditional rulers, all from the Idemili North and South local government areas of Anambra, however, shunned their former state governor to support the candidate of the PDP.

Stating their reason for backing Atiku, the monarchs said the Wazirin Adamawa and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, are getting their full support because of their support received from a chieftain of the PDP in Anambra, Prof Obiora Okonkwo.
