2022 World Cup: NFF Confirms Super Eagles Match Against Mexico

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday confirmed that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play against Mexico in a friendly ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Nigeria’s men’s national team failed to qualify for the competition in Qatar, however, Mexico is among the twenty-nine countries that have already booked their places in the tournament.

The El Tri will play against Argentina, Poland, and Saudi Arabia in group C in Qatar.

The Mexico men’s team led by Gerardo Martino will play against the Super Eagles in May as part of their preparation for the World Cup in Qatar.

The friendly will be played in Texas, the US on May 28.

NFF in a post on its official Twitter account wrote, “Official: Nigeria’s @NGSuperEagles will face the El Tri of Mexico in an international friendly game on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at the AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas. #SoarSuperEagles.”
